Ankoraŭ ĉi tie

Estas longe tempo kiam mi skribis. Pardonu min.  Mi ankoraŭ lernas, kaj estas malfacila kaj malrapida por me skribos. Malgraŭ mi devu skribas. 

Mi ĉiam spektas por metodojn por helpas min lerni plibone.  Unu metodo estas parolado kun alia esperantistoj.  Sed tio estas la plej tima por mi. 

Kio vi faras por lerni esperanto (aŭ iu lingvo)?  Por mi:

1. Lernu la basoj de la lingon.
2. Lernu larĝa voraro (Mi uzas Memrise kaj lernis sescent vortojn unue).
3. Post nelonge mi komencis leganta (Lernu estas bona reto por simplaj kaj malsimplaj legadoj).
  3a. Legu malsilante, ne malsone.   
4. Spekti videoj en Esperanto, kiel ĉi: Esperanto Verieco Spektaklo (Esperanto Variety Show) aŭ Esperanto VBlogo (Esperanto Video Blog). 
5. Fine, mi ligis Esperanto grupo por babilado.

Do, eble ĉi tio helpos vin ankaŭ.

Skribas en Esperanto estas malfacila por mi ankaŭ paroli. Oni diri ke Esperanto estas facile lernis, sed tio ne estas vera.  Esperanto estas pli faclile lernis ol aliajn lingvojn. Pli facile ol Ĉino aŭ Klingono eble. Sed estas ankaŭ laboro.

Eble mi estas maljunga aŭ ne tre inteligenta.  Mi estas Usonulo kaj do mi parolas nur unu lingvon kiel multaj Usonuloj.  Mi certa tiu farigas ĝi pli malfaclila por min.

Nur mi povas fari estas daŭre provi. Salti en la profundo!  

(Late) Introduction to Esperebla!

I have created this blog for the purpose of talking about Esperanto.  I plan on including articles in both English and Esperanto and will do my best to make sure I label each.  There will be different articles in each category and not necessarily translations of one to the other (If I do that I'll try and remember to link them).

I love Esperanto and have been studying it for over two years now.  However this was mostly reading, not writing or talking.  So now begins the next phase of learning, which I must admit isn't near as easy as reading.

The name "Esperebla" is an Esperanto word meaning, loosely, "able to have hope".  This word both expresses my hopefulness in being a better Esperantisto (Esperanto speaker) and that Esperanto will continue to grow in popularity. It also means that I don't have to be merely wishful but that these things are definitely something worth hoping for.

For those not in the know, Esperanto is delightful, expressive, easy(er) to learn and arguably the most popular constructed language in history.  It has been around for about 150 years now and at one time, because of war and persecution, was threatened with extinction.  But thanks to the internet it gained new life and has enjoyed a rather noticeable resurgence in popularity.  Numerous news programs have covered it, internet fan films have employed it, some films have used it either for the entire dialog, subtitles or dubbing, there has been at least one documentary about the language that I know of and numerous blogs, articles and news sites written in it. There have been original books written in it and many books translated into it including: The Bible, Shakespeare, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.  Major browsers like Chrome and social media site Facebook have an Esperanto language setting.  There are over 230,000 Wikipedia articles written in Esperanto. And much, much more!

On top of all of this there are tens of thousands, perhaps even millions of people speaking the language from around the world.  What this means is you can be exposed to many different cultures and their people by simply learning a single language.  This alone makes Esperanto worth learning.

Is it hard to learn?  Yes, I'm afraid so.  But not as heard as learning French, German, Russian or another natural language.  If you tried to learn French in high-school and just couldn't get your head around irregular verbs, gender, and the parsing of nouns and verbs, then Esperanto will be a breath of fresh air.  Oh, there are still rules and you will want to get things right, but Esperanto has a number of things going for it.  First, there aren't a lot of rules compared to other languages.  Second, it is very regular.  No irregular verbs or exceptions like in French or English.  Finally, you can get things fairly wrong and still be understood.  Which, for a beginner, can be really nice.

So head over to Lernu!  and start learning yourself some Esperanto.  You may be pleasantly surprised and you will be joining a fun and vibrant community.

Revenas Birdo en la Barbo

Eble vi memoras mia posto pri la birdo en la barbo (ĉi tie)? Ĉe ĉi renkontiĝo mia amiko, kaj la estro de nia groupo, alportis min donaĵo.  Vidu la bildon.  Nun kiam io havas konfuzon pri kiu vorto uzos, ne problemo!  Uzu unu aŭ la alia aŭ eĉ ambaŭ.

Birdoj kaj la Barbo

Mi devas skribas plu!  Ĝi estas malfacila trovas la tempo por skribi.  Certe iom de kulpaĵo estas pro mia malficilaĵo parolanta Esperanton.

Mi memoras ĉe unu renkontiĝo de nia Esperanto grupo, mi estis ekzercanta tutan tagon por cxi renkontigxo.  Frasoj, vortoj, demandoj, ktp.  Mi volis esti preta!  Do, kiam mi alvenis ĉe la renkontigxo mi vidis mian amikon kaj laute ekdiris: “Ho, vi havas birdo sur la vizaĝon!”.

Kio mi devus diris esti, “Ho, vi havas BARBO sur la vizaĝon!”.  Mia vizaĝo ruĝiĝis.   Feliĉe, mia amiko komprenis min….ankaŭ ridis.  Ĉiu ridis. Eĉ mi.

Se oni volas lerni alia lingvo, ol oni devas pretiĝas farigi erarojn.

Pensoj pri lernas esperanton

Mia dua poŝto!  Post mia unua poŝto mi havis la amiko ridaktis ĝin.  Mi bezonis multan helpojn!

Hodiaŭ, mi deziras parolas pri lerni esperanto sen mortigi viamem.  Nur kelka pensoj.

Dua!  Legu, legu, legu!  La forumoj ĉe lernu.net estas skriba en Angla kaj Esperanto (ankaŭ multaj alia lingvoj).  Plue, helpaj populoj povas helpi vin kun iam malfacilaj poroblemoj.

Tria!  Renkontu kun alian esperantistojn.  Parolas kun esperantistojn estos plejbona metodo por lernas la lingvo.
